I want to learn Indonesian as I want to move from France to Indonesia, I spent few months in East Java but I was always accompanied by locals who could help me to talk with non English speakers. My goal would be to be able to do it all by myself without the help of anyone, to be able to be more autonomous and start my life there. I only know some basic things for the moment.

Goid afternoon Teachers I would like to learn more French ‘as she is spoken’ in order to converse easily with French people and make friends. My current level is somewhere in the A2/B1 level I estimate, although I understand a lot more than I am able to return in communication . Rather than ‘school’ or very formal French I would like to be able to talk as easily with traders in the market as I would with the Maire! I do have a slight disability, in that I am rather deaf in one ear. But this is being addressed by an Audiologist, and I hope to be back to full hearing soon….but hence my desire in the first instance to have personal lessons so that I can see your face fully. I am thinking of 1-2 lessons a week, depending on your proximity to Carpentras, but I will be guided by you. Qualiti es I am looking for? Possibly a mature person who like to talk about sport, culture, art, politics and philosophy. Am I impossible?!

Description |
I've been thinking about learning Irish Gaelic for several years now. First of all, I have a real taste for Irish culture in general. I'm an amateur player of some irish instruments such as the harp, the fiddle, a little bit of Bodhran and whistle. I'm a professional illustrator and over the years I've specialised in the Celts. I've published several graphic novels, including two about the old celtic symbols called « Oghams » (the Book of Ballymote), and one on Celtic tales and legends, based on the Heroes of Ulster, such as the famous Cuchullain. We've recently set up a music group with some friends os mine. The core repertoire is in various Celtic languages (Breton from Little Britain, Welsh, Irish Gaelic, Scottish Gaelic). As far as I'm concerned, it's the Irish that attracts me the most. But it seems very difficult to find learning materials. I've tried on my own to get started, with an online programm but as there's no explanation of any kind, I struggle to understand how the language is structured. It is especially difficult to understand phonetic mutations at the beginning of the words by mere deduction. So I would like to get some support and training from a real irish teacher to understand the grammar basics.
My spoken English is relatively average but my understanding is good, I think. This would make it possible to use English as an intermediate language for a teacher who does not speak French. As I'm an adult, the mother of a teenage daughter, and still working, I might not be able to do intensive learning, but I can provide regular work. My aim would be: - as a priority, to be able to read with the right pronunciation , so as to be able to pronounce correctly the songs that we undertake in our music group - to understand enough to be able to read stories from Irish heritage. I'd like to continue writing books about Celtic legends, not just the ones that have already been translated in my mother langage. - get by with a minimum of conversation, in the country, or when I meet Irish people at festivals, which is regularly the case.
If my profile seems to suit you, I'd be delighted to embark on this learning journey with you.
Since rly yours, Krystal Camprubi
