Dutch and Farsi
Hello, dear Iranians! If you want to learn Dutch and teach me Farsi, then I would be very glad to hear something of you. I have some sentences that I would like to translate in Farsi.

Here they are:

-Ik geloof je niet (I don't believe you)
-Zij vertrouwt mij niet (She doesn't trust
me)
-Ik mis je (I miss you)
-niet alles, maar een beetje (not everything, but a little bit)
-beetje per beetje (little by little)

Can you help me please?

Thank you very much!!!

Ann

PS I also want to chat. I am not a gold member.

If some Iranian missed to answer you, I would try to give some answers to your message.
According to my humble Farsi knowledge (which is not my native language, I am learning it as you are), translations of those sentences you asked for should be like this:

I don't believe you – be to bâver nemikonam
She doesn't trust me - u be man eetemad nemikonad
I miss you – djaye to haliist
not everything, but a little bit – har chiz nist, faqat ye hourd
little by little – kam kam, hourd hourd

Sentences in Farsi have been written mostly “phonetic”, namely ‘one letter-one voice’, except ‘ch’ which sounds like ch in ‘cheese’ and ‘dj’ in ‘djaye’, ‘dj’ sounds like in Italian name ‘Giuseppe’.
So, ‘u’ is like in French ‘ou’ in ‘vous’. In Farsi there is no distinction concerning gender, so ‘u’ can be either she or he.
Voice ‘â’ is long and dark, while normal ‘a’ is short and light.
Sound ‘h’ in ‘hourd’ and ‘mihad’ is usually written like ‘kh’ so that it can be distinguished form normal ‘h’. ‘Kh’ is same voice like in Arabic or (as it is explained in some books) like ‘doch’ in German, also occur in Dutch, they say.

I hope this was of some help, but have in mind that maybe this is not 100% correct..

Husein

Thank you very much, Husein. It has been of a great help. Later I can see if something has to be corrected.

By the way, I wonder where the 'real' Iranians are. We don't see them often on this site, isn't it? At least not in the chatroom.

Anyway, I wish you succes with learning Farsi!

Bye,

Ann
