Re:Saying thank you in japanese
It's very difficult for native but I'd like to help you. Do you know Me-ue and Me-shita? Me-ue: People whose social status is higher than you. For example, elder, boss, teacher, etc. Me-shita:People whose social status is lower than you. We usually don't use "Arigatou gozaimasu" to Me-shita people. It's too formal and sometimes sounds funny. In contract, "doumo arigatou" is not used for Me-ue people. It's impolite. When you talk with the people belongs similar level of you(called Dou-hai), you can use both. As same as relationship between "vous" and "tu" in French, or "Nin" and "Ni" in Chinese. ...Am I right? ÆüËܿͤ㧤µ¤ó¡¢Äɵ¤ª¤è¤Ó½¤Àµ¤¬¤¢¤ì¤Ð¤ª´ê¤¤¤·¤Þ¤¹¡£

Re:Re:Saying thank you in japanese
And you should use "in contrast" instead of "in contract". in contract, for what i know is that contract means is an agreement between two or more parties for the doing or not doing of something specified.
