Spanish movies for a language lesson and entertainment
Hola Jamie. Te cuento que soy de Argentina y al mirar peliculas españolas a veces se me dificulta entender algunas cosas (todo tiene que ver con la entonación y el vocabulario que es diferente en cada país), asi que no te desanimes y sigue explorando peliculas en español, lo vas a disfrutar!!!

Me pregunto, ¿Que crees de tales peliculas como "Y tu Máma También," o "Tú qué Harías por Amor"?
Y, ¿Qué crees que es que hace una película buena o una pelicula mala? ¿Crees que es alguna cosa en particular, o que es una mezcla de cosas? ¿Cuales son las más importantes?

Lo pondré en el foro, "Vocabulary/Translations." Nos vemos allí.
Pero antes de irnos, también quiero hacer una pregunta. Dijo que el vocabulario en los películas de Almodovar no es muy educado, y que hay peliculas buenas en español. Con eso, ¿quiere decir que películas con vocabulario indecente jamás son buenas?
Creo que tal cosas siempre son asuntos de opinión, pero me interesa como cree usted, si nos quiere decir.

Hi Lindsay,
I watched "Todo sobre mi madre" recently. Initially I tried without the subtitles, but it didn't take long for me to have to put them back on again. Very unusual and interesting movie.
I also have Live Flesh and Talk To Her, which I have yet to watch.
When I find the Spanish language to difficult to understand vocally, I try English language DVDs showing Spanish subtitles. I love watching ER, and my medical vocabulary is coming along very nicely!

awesome!im glad i made you laugh lol,i hope that i can laugh all the time but it's just a dream...i cant lol,but i'll try my best though.....
the lyrics are super fine ,just that i have to listen to the song first and then find out which lyrics go with that song...lol...it's a mess at first...i cant match some lyrics well ...*_*im still matching them heehee
and yeah,the way your friend use the mouse is really hard to LEARN! how can she control it well,or she's too smart! LOL...i mean it,it's really difficult to use it that way huh!
i agree that diversity is pretty cool,i mean we dont need to do it like other people and we still would have fun!even more!
after i finish the lyrics(it's still a little mess lol),i'll may need your help with some diffcult sentences...
and yes,i'd like to sing it if i can!

I'm delighted that you have the lyrics and are enjoying them so much. And when you share them with me, I remember how much I enjoy them.
Please, don't let me interfere with your having fun giggling. My comments were meant to be playful and teasing in a friendly way, and not to make you think there was something wrong.
Actually, it's very funny, that you say that, about being too weird. Today, I found out that a friend of mine uses her mouse backwards on her computer. She rotates it around so that the buttons are facing towards her and she holds it that way when she uses it. Now, you have to admit, that's really unusual. And she takes a lot of heat about it. People tease her a lot, and they think that she's really weird. Well, her mouse technique really is, of course, but so what? Who does it hurt? Who anywhere on the planet is going to have to do anything different because she learned how to use her mouse backwards and never learned how to use it the way the rest of us do. Big deal.
You're probably thinking I'm pretty weird now and wondering if I have a point. I promise, I do.
The harassment my friend gets about the way she uses her mouse reminds me a whole lot of a great many things people get really uptight about other people doing differently. I just wish people would get over themselves.' The world is supposed to be full of diversity, and people are so often acting like we all have to do the same, dress the same, act the same. If that were true, why would we have so many different plants and flowers and different types of animals. Diversity is a good thing. It's normal and healthy, and it's a fundamental part of how the universe grows and transforms.
So my point is, if you're having fun giggling, I think that's great! Have a ball! They always say that if you smile the whole world smiles with you. I can't imagine why laughing shouldn't be the same. I mean, I HAVE been laughing with you, so it works pretty well.
Prussia was a Germanic East European country from the seventeenth century until 1947. I was trying to raise the irony factor by choosing a sailor from a country that doesn't exist anymore, like if I'd said, this will work or I'm a wooly mammoth.
