Re:Re:Re:Can somebody please verify recipe translation?
Hi Yvonne,
Leider, ich bin nicht gold member either. But the Bulletin boards work great.
Also, you have my full name, and you know that I'm a student at CSUS. You may find a way to contact me there.
In any case, if there's anything I can do to help you with your English, just leave questions for me in the appropriate bulletin area. That way, you can benefit from any answers I may be able to offer, as well as others who may have the same question. Be sure you mention my name when you speak to me so I don't wonder if your speaking to someone else.

If I can be of any help to you learning English, I would be delighted. If you post any questions in one of the first five bulletin boards, I'll certainly do what I can to help. I'm sorry I can't partner with you, though, becuase I really need to focus on improving my Spanish and learning the basics of Portuguese. Best of luck to you finding someone who's learning Chinese.

Re:Can somebody please verify recipe translation?
Grüß Gott Yvonne,
Maybe that last message was all you were looking for, but sometimes more detailed suggestions are helpful. In case you might have wanted such detail, I’ve inserted an edited copy of your e-mail below. Wherever I had a comment, I inserted it in parenthesis with a correction of spelling, or a suggestion how I might say it myself. Hopefully, all of my comments will come out in blue in the message on the board. If not, it should be no trouble, as only one set of parenthesis was yours anyway, and I’m sure you’ll recognize it when you see it.
As Jessica said, you do have an excellent translation, and none of the errors you made would prevent anyone from being able to follow your recipe and make what looks like it would be quite a delicious meal. Nonetheless, I’ve added my comments in the interest of helping you improve your English skills, a goal we both share, I’m sure. Please don’t hesitate to reply to me here if you have any further questions.
Can somebody please verify recipe translation? Hello everybody. I translated a German recipe of "Maultaschen" into English and would appreciate if a native speaker looked over it and correct my English. Here it is:
(If a native speaker would look over it and correct my English)
Directions: Noodle- Dough: Whisk eggs and water (I would say “beat eggs and water with a whisk”, but it probably doesn’t matter), add the flour bit by bit and knead the dough until it has a firm, elestic (elastic) consistency.
Meat- Dough: Soak the rolls and press them out. Steam onions and parsley slightly. Add the meat and the spinach. Then kneat (knead) together all the ingrediants (ingredients).
Devide (Divide) the noodle- dough in halves and roll them out. Let them dry a little bit, and put the meat dough on one half. Put the empty sheet (you mean the empty noodle dough? Maybe this confuses me only because I’m not a cook) on top to cover the meat filling and press down the edges (press the edges down”—very minor point. The change in word order may be part of a German accent) firmly. Take a pastry wheel (Use a pastry wheel) to cut out rectangular pieces and put them into boiling salt-water.
Boil them gently for 10 minutes.
Serve: It is the custom (It is customary—again, a very minor point) to eat half of the Maultaschen in a broth as a soup, and the remainders (remainder) together with a potato-salad or mixed green salad. ( You can add fried onions as well).
Thanks in advance
Nice work, Yvonne. I look forward to talking to you again.
Best regards,

Hello
Mi llamo Molly, y hablo poquito espanol. I was talking to a homeless man the other day who had immigrated from Mexico, but I couldn't communicate very well. I am hoping to improve my Spanish, so I might do better in that kind of situation. I would also love to learn Gaelic. I'm actually considering going to Ireland in a foreign exchange program. I hear that Gaelic is a dying language, and I would love to preserve the beauty of it, if only in my mind.I am not a gold member, so if you would be interested in assisting me, please feel free to contact me. I am usually on the text chat forum around 3:30 or 4:00 (U.S. time). Gracias, y Adios.
Molly

I Forgot to say some stuff
I'd help you with your english also. I am very good when it comes to my language. I'd also like to say that seeing a Gold member would have to contact me first, please do so. Oh and again I am a 17 year old male looking for about the same thing to teach me the romantic language of italian, and some culture lessons, seeing I will be going there shortly and do not want to offend anyone.
