Re:Re:Finnish verbs
Moi!
I think she's just being lazy in her pronounciation, because you should ALWAYS pronounce "ä" like "ä" and "a" like "a". Because Finnish can be spoken without opening your mouth and moving your lips very much (which surely won't do in languages like French!!), "ä" might sound a bit like "a". Some Finns even say tiä when they should say tie, or Suami when they sould say Suomi. I myself find this extremely irritating ;).
Sorry, I'm not a gold member, so I can't write you email :(. But if you have further questions, I'll try to answer them here.

Hyvää pääsiäistä! Have a nice Easter!

Re:Finnish verbs
Hei!
I couldn't figure out a word in which "ä" would be pronounced like "a"... could you give an example? If I know something (and I'm a native speaker) "ä" is never pronounced like "a".

terveisin Hanna

Re:I really wanna learn
Naomi,if you go to my profile, you will see that I love anime, JPop, etc. I would like to know what they are saying. Also, I would like to visit Japan someday. It's too expensive for me to travel right now. My brother also speaks Japanese and I would like to have conversations with him so his Japanese doesn't get rusty. I also wanted an Internet PenPal. My atsui would be in small letters; it would be the first letter of my first name with my entire last name combined. Contact me soon. Ja, mata!

Re:I really wanna learn
Well, as you know, I am trying to learn Japanese. This message was for Naomi, but thank you for translating. I wanted to know if she had a hotmail account. I know atsui is hot and I thought the other word meant computer mailbox. Thanks again. Now, how would you say "Do you have a hotmail account?"

Betty-san he,
My Japanese is rusty, but I think "Atsui merobokkusu ga arimasu ka?" means "Do you have a hot mailbox." Isshokenmei ganbatte kudasai!

Konnichiwa! Watashiwa Nihongo ga sakushi wakarimasu. I belive that is "I understand a little Japanese". I just know that basics. Ogenki desu ka? I have another one for you to translate for me..
Atsui merobokkusu ga arimasu ka? My answer to that question would be yes. I hope you translate it the way I would. I am trying to form my first original sentence without the help of the audiobooks and guide book. How did I do? Ja, mata.
