Re:Ca va?
" ça va?" means "how are you" and is used when you know the person you are talking to. "Coucou" means "hi or hello" and is also used when you know the person you are talking to.
Polite form of "ça va?" is "comment allez-vous?". Polite form of "coucou" is "bonjour" (day) and "bonsoir" (evening and night).

Ca va?
Just wondering if 'ca va' or coucou are considered proper and polite greetings or saved only for close friends/youngsters?

Re:I want to learn turkish
Hi, I am English and have been learning Turkish for about 3 years now. I recommend that you get a copy of the Linguaphone pdq Turkish to begin with. I found this very good when I first started to learn.
This is a copy in Turkish of the above message: Merhaba, Ingilisim ve üç yil icin Türçe öðretiyorum. Birinçi bit kopya linguaphone pdq Türçe alýnýz tavsiyeyirim. Bu çok iyi buldum ne zaman Birinçi baþladým.
It may not be 100 percent correct as I am no expert in turkish grammar but it can be understood.
I had never tried to learn another language before but wanted to learn for the same reason as yourself, so you see it can be done!
Iyi þanslar! Good luck.
