I think that correct translation of the first string of song will that
"There's a fog around the hill".
Also I have a poetric suggestion for song tale:

I'm native russian speaker but your song isn't russian! Your song is ukrainian (central and east ukrainian - it's important). Thus, you need a good ukrainian-english speaker for fully correct translation.
I little understand ukrainian language also and I should to attend that your song is libertine somewhere.
