I am attempting to learn Japanese because I am interested in the language and hope to one day travel there. I am an absolute beginner. I only know a couple basic phrases. I want to start from scratch by mastering the basics and steadily progressing up the scale. I would prefer one hour lessons, but may be willing to increase it depending on the price. I am seeking a native speaker as a tutor. I need a teacher who can be: professional, friendly, patient, dedicated and passionate. I prefer to learn in person within the setting of a library.

Hello,
I am looking for a teacher to help me significantly improve my business Japanese. I have passed the 1kyuu level of the JLPT and lived and worked in Tokyo for about 4 years before moving to Singapore three years ago. Since then, I have not had a chance to use Japanese as much as I would like.
Timing may be somewhat difficult for me as I have a fluctuating schedule. I am an attorney so unfortunately there will be times when I have to reschedule or cancel a meeting with little notice - I will try my best to schedule lessons so that this doesn't happen, but I am looking for an understanding and flexible teacher who doesn't mind traveling (to Raffles Place or Orchard) to meet with me (Perhaps if I have to cancel an in-person meeting, we reschedule to phone calls etc.) I would like to meet/speak about 3 hours a week at first to see if that's possible with my schedule. Thank you.
