Hi, My name is Tony. I am a native Mandarin speaker from Taiwan and I have been in Canada for over 8 years. I am fluent in both English and Mandarin, and is interested in learning a third language in Japanese for both self-interest and career development purposes. I am a beginner with limited knowledge of this language such as katakana and hiragana, and would like to start up with fundamentals such as grammars and basic conversations . I would like to learn sign language for my own interest but also in hopes that it could help me to a find a job as a teacher. I have no background in ASL so I would have to start from the basics. I would like to have lessons once a week with homework assigned to be completed on my own. I am currently learning basic Russian in university with the goal to eventually become fluent in the language. I plan to travel to St.Petersburg in the summer of 2014 for a Russian intensive program however I want to be reasonably comfortable with the language, especially in conversation, before I leave. I am looking for a teacher/tutor to work with me this year from around April to August so I can improve my understanding of Russian before I return to school. Thanks!
