I want to learn Italian because of my heritage and I love learnign languages. I'm a beginning level student. I studied in Viareggio at the Centro Giacomo Puccini for two weeks in 2007 and completed 1A livello elementere. I'm interested in learning all areas of Italian with an emphasis on conversation. I can study 1:1 once a week for 2 hours. In addition I can spend several hours a day chatting, text messaging, calling or other forms of homework. I'm looking for a teacher that preparees well for lessons.

Why I am learning Italian: My parents are from Italy and I am looking to increase my vocabulary, improve my grammar, reading and writing.
M y proficiency level: advance.
A reas I feel I need particular improvement: congiuntivo, periodo ipotetico, uso di 'ne', pronomi e pronomi relativi.
Time I want to dedicate to language lessons: about 1 hour per week for the lesson. Additional time as needed for homework and preparation for the next lesson.
Qu alities I am looking for in my lessons/teach er: someone willing to adjust lessons plans based on my needs, someone with clear explanations, someone who does not slow down their speech too much (just speak normally), someone who does not use exercises (ie fill in the blank exercises) from a book, someone willing to spend all the time needed on a topic (until I get it), someone patient & has a sense of humor, someone willing to let me do a lot of the talking (learner focused lessons) and someone who is a native speaker.
