I am a Spanish beginner. I would really love to learn the language as I have always had a strong affinity and interest in Spanish since childhood, but never attempted to learn it. In any case I will be off to America in about 5 months for my studies and job opportunities there are stronger for individuals who have a basic understanding of Spanish (due to the large amounts of Mexican citizens).
I would generally dedicate about 2-3 days a week for approximately 4 months, and about 3 hours or more during each lesson. I look for a teacher who moves at a quick pace yet is very understandabl e. One who expresses his fluency and passion for the language through the way he/she speaks; and one who is not easily frustrated.

I have a very basic understanding of Spanish. I had beginner lessons 4 years ago as I was very interested in the language and soon after took a trip to Mexico which fed my interest more. In the future I am looking to teach English in Spain, so would like to immerse myself in their language and culture. The key areas I would like to improve on are conversationa l and grammar skills. I am interested in one class a week in the evening or weekend.
I feel it would benefit a lot to me if my teacher was warm and friendly with a side portion of patience! It may help if they can speak a little bit of English too. My ultimate goal is to be able to have a chat, joke and make friends in Spanish.
