I'm a beginner in Thai language, looking to teach English in Bangkok so can be nearer my fiance who lives there. I'm currently learning from the lonely planet phrase book, i can say basic phrases, greetings, can count, the type of thing you would pick up when visiting Thailand and talking with local Thai people, however, as i'm learning from a phrase book, i'm not sure of the correct tones, and found it a great help speaking with Thai people as you pick up the correct tones from them.
I m looking for a Thai tutor so i can pick up the correct intonation for new words and help with conversationa l skills, what I'm look in for in a tutor is someone who can progress me up to a standard that will allow me to get by in everyday life in Bangkok,in a relatively short time, I'm willing to dedicate as much time as needed, work permitting.

I learn Thai as a hobby. I am intermediate/ advanced level. I am looking at finding a tutor to provide assistance with difficult questions that I may have. I already learn on a Sunday. I would be looking at learning a couple of hours/one night each week. Somewhere in city of Melbourne would be ideal as I work in the City. Hello I am a beginner with the Thai language. I just spent 2 months in Thailand for the first time and really enjoyed it. The country is beautiful and I loved the culture, food, and people. I plan to be returning next year and would like my conversationa l skills to be better. I have about 9 months before I go back. One the qualities in a teacher I would be looking for would be patience. I tried learning some of the language on my own but it was a very slow process. I am motivated to learn and with some instruction I am sure I can do better.
