I'm from Sacramento California and recently moved to Manila. This is my first time out of the states and I'm looking to learn all I can about my new home. I need help with the language, I feel hobbled not being able to speak tagalog even though just about everyone here speaks english (actually makes it a little harder as I can't get immersed in the language). I'm generally good with languages, but I'm having particular trouble with tagalog, I just can't get any of the words to stick. I'm generally good with understanding grammar but I really need help on learning the vocabulary. I don't have much and am currently looking for a job, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello my name is Steve.
I am from the UK and have recently moved to Makati Manila. I have no current understanding of Tagalog but am interested in learning as I expect to be here for some time. I work throughout the week so morning sessions would suit. I am quite busy so unfortunately realistically I will not be able to do long or many sessions in a week. I am just looking for a good teacher who I guess needs to speak English and have a bit of patience!
