- I will take a 2 months sabbatical in Oct/Dec 09 during which, as a beginner with no current knowledge of hindi, I would like to get a taste of hindi by attending classes or one-on-one teacher.
- The purpose is to find out if this language suits me in order to possibly live in India at a later stage.
- total beginner, but I prefer to get into a language via clear grammar rules.
- I will have about 4 weeks in total distributed during the 8 weeks of sabbatical

I am an Indian American male who moved to Singapore 8 months ago with my wife who is also Indian and speaks Hindi very well. My proficiency level is somewhere between non-existent to beginner. I would like to first focus on conversationa l hindi.
I am willing to spend between 5-7 hours a week in classtime and studying and then willing to spend extra time participating in extra curricular activities that will improve my Hindi such as watching Bollywood movies.
Mainly I am looking for a strong structure from my teacher that will provide weekly building blocks and expectations to succeed in learning Hindi.
