I've been teaching English at a public elementary school in South Korea for almost two years and since that time I've had a chance to visit Japan several times. I have to say that Japan is my favorite among all the countries I've visited and lived. Japan is great and I would actually like to teach and live there someday, but unlike South Korea, most Japanese schools prefer English teachers that can speak/write decent Japanese. My desire to learn Japanese is very strong and I'm not afraid of challenges.
Regarding my proficiency level, I'm essentially a beginner, but I'm a quick learner. I've recently memorized the Japanese alphabet (hiragana & katakana), in addition to everyday phrases, but I'm looking to greatly improve my skill in writing, reading, listening, and speaking Japanese. Therefore, I'm looking for a friendly teacher/tutor that can help guide my learning, and can perhaps meet on a weekly basis, providing suitable lessons to help build my ability.
