I am a beginner, looking to learn Russian with interest in travelling to Russia for research to do with a book that I a writing. I need improvement in all areas of the language. I am hoping to dedicate at least a few hours each week to learning the language. I am looking for a teacher that would be willing to help me, and possibly my girlfriend as well (who is of Russian heritage, and also interested in learning the language). We would like to meet in person with a teacher at least once a week, and have certain materials that we can read or practice with each other for the rest of the week.

I like to learn Cantonese since I have very little knowledge of the language. I like to learn this language in order to travel throughout Asia. Most of all, I feel that learning Cantonese is beneficial in a multicultural city like Toronto.
I like to dedicate about 2-4 hours per week of instruction time especially in the speaking and written forms of Cantonese. I am looking for a teacher who engages me in Cantonese conversation and is able to teach me the grammar.

I am a beginning Hebrew student, though I once took a year of university Hebrew a while back. My goals in studying Hebrew are two-fold. First, I'd like to be able to follow the liturgy during occasional services. Second, I'd like to learn a new language with the four classic skills, as I always find this process intellectuall y stimulating. (I am a native English speaker, and also have good French, German, and Swedish, as well as a little Russian.) I'd like to spend 2-3 hours per week in lessons with a tutor. At home, I'm willing to spend 30-60 minutes per day on studying and practicing. In an instructor, I'm seeking experience, flexibility, and intelligence. As an experienced adult learner, I'm likely to make rapid progress in certain areas, but regrettably slower progress in other areas; the lessons should reflect this. As a student, I'm motivated by a mix of four-skill exercises and drills, as well as enrichment materials from the web, podcasts, or more traditional media. I prefer to use as little English as possible during lessons, as early as is realistic
