I would say i'm at the beginner level. I can understand and speak some Punjabi as I've improved over the last month through practicing through various online websites. I speak with a wesern accent however and I have difficulty speaking fluently, fast, and creating sentences. I also have difficulty understanding people who can speak fluently. I do have a great desire to learn though as I've spent alot of time practising myself recently.
I would like to learn for the following reasons:
1. immerse myself in society while in Punjab and communicate with family there.
2. to pass on the language to future children.
3. to communicate with Punjabi clients.
I need improvement in grammar and conversing. No desire to read or write just yet. I'm willing to spend 3-4 hours per week to learn. In a teacher, i'd like someone who is patient and speaks English as well.
