Would like to start as a beginner. My wife is from the philipines, and so I am interested in learning tagalog.
Con versation, grammar, reading etc. are all parts of the language I would like to learn. Ideally in a classroom setting. 4 or more hours a week would also be fine.

I can speak Russian at the level of a nine-year-old , basically. That's when I stopped going to a Russian school, and moved to Canada. I don't want to forget my native language, and would like to improve it. I need to improve my grammar in Russian, as well as conversation, and vocabulary.
I also want to learn Latvian. I was born in Latvia, and lived there until I moved to Canada, and I used to speak it fairly well. But once I moved here, I forgot it entirely. I can still read it, but can't understand anything. I want to learn Latvian, so that when I finally get to go back to visit, I can feel at home, and not like a tourist.
I want to learn the languages online, and I have free time from Tuesday to Thursday, after five thirty, until six thirdy, sometimes seven.
I would love it if the teacher had a sense of humour, and explained the lesson well.

Both my wife and I are complete beginners wishing to learn Gujarati in order to be able to communicate with our soon to be adopted daughter. Our goal is to be in a position to converse, on at least a rudimentary level, with a 4-year old child when we travel to India in February or March of 2007.
