I have some Mandarin exposure from doing two courses at the British Council in Hong Kong and working in China for 3 years. However, a bit rusty and inconsistent now from living in Singapore for 5 years and mostly using English!
I want to make a long term commitment to learning - not just speech but also writing and reading - so that in 4 or 5 years I have a good grasp of the language. In the next 3-4 months I want to brush up everything I learnt and then move on.
I can meet for lessons 2 times a week - preferably during lunch time and near CBD... but otherwise evening is possible. I travel a lot so schedule will need to be a bit flexible.
I'm looking for everyday conversation skills so don't necessarily need a professionall y qualified teacher - but preferably someone from Beijing since my initial learning was based on that...
