I took Mandarin for 6 mothns with a one on one tutor and i learned all of the pin yin, a fair amount of writing and reading. I am an advanced beginner. I would like to dedicate 1-2 hours a week for Mandarin. I am looking for someone who is very good at what they do and really interested and dedicated. i am learning Mandarin for fun mainly, but i do take it very seriously. Thanks!!!!!

I am a rank beginner and have no experience with Mandarin beyond the ability to understand some of the most common words in the language. I would like to learn Mandarin primarily for personal reasons; foremost among them is that I would like to travel to Taiwan and to China in the future. In addition, China's economic and political influence is clearly on the rise, and I feel that it might be professionall y beneficial to me to have at least some knowledge of the language and culture.
I am willing to dedicate as much time as is required to language lessons, although my professional schedule would make it difficult for me to attend class until after rush hour (19:00) on weeknights. I am willing and eager to practice on my own time whenever possible, and I have access to a speaking 'partner' who has been fluent in Mandarin for many years.

My spoken level is probably intermediate. (have spent 3 years in China until last December). Writing and reading is very much beginner. I'm continuing my learning due to an expected return to China for business where it will be required that I am fluent.
I want to cover all areas and would expect a tutor who is always prepared.
I wish to dedicate 2 hours a week with tutor and another 2 on my own studies.
