My parents are chinese, at home I speak a mix of chinese and german. My spoken chinese is way better than my written chinese. Living in the right environment helps me recognize words and phrases which ive once known how to use.
I'm learning chinese because I like china and am considering to live here.

Our school is interested in starting an after school program in September(cla sses to begin at 2:50pm any weekday or perhaps twice a week) for our students to learn a variety of Languages. The average class size would be between 5 and 15 students, depending on what the skill level, price and interst is.
I am looking for teacher(s) to teach Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese.
Please contact me if you would be interested in teaching 1-2hours per week.
We will of course require references and background check, if you are selected.
We are hoping that this will lead to a permanent program.

I am looking for a mandarin teacher to teach my daughter and her friend, ages 11 and theya re presently enrolled in the mandarin bilingual program at Jamieson Elementary school. this is to supplement what they are learning already. This year is their 3rd year in mandarin. I would consider them intermediate, but an evaluation would be required by the teacher. they are presently tutored twice a week by a teacher I found on this site, unfortunately she is moving back to China. I am looking for the following in a teacher:
1. come to my home, located in Vancouver
2. tutor 2 girls, ages 11
3. come twice a week, tuesday and thursday
4. $ 30.00 an hour per lesson,
5. start time: 3:45 or 4:00
6. to begin in February/06.
