I have wanted to learn Italian for many years now, because I think it is a beautiful language. I have a number of Italian friends and love the country,it would be great to be able to converse with them on a level which I understand them and they understand me.
I am at beginner level and would like to have at least one lesson per week.
I respond well to teachers who are interactive and fun, and think it is important to be able to converse with someone in person so that I have a full understanding of grammar and sentence construction.

I would like to learn Italian due to my long-standing interest in the language, as well as my interest in participating in a 'CEMS' Masters in Management programme next year, one of the prerequisites for which is the knowledge of at least two foreign languages (including English). I am a beginner, i.e. I have been an avid listener of Italian music for the past two years and have developed my ability a little bit by conversing with my Italian friends. I would like to dedicate around two hours a day to learning the language, as I would like to be reasonably fluent in the language in a year's time. I am looking for a teacher who will be able to improving above all my conversationa l ability, as well as my written and comprehending abilities.

1. Why I am learning a foreign language? Because my family is Italian and I am planning on going to Italy within the next 6-8 months
2. My proficiency level is beginner
3. Areas I need improvement on is more language than written skills
