I am from a mixed parentage of Portuguese Chinese but been living in Malaysia since I was born. It's a shame that I do not speak my own language, but given a chance it would be great to speak some Portuguese. Plan to visit Portugal in near future. I have recently become engaged to a Brazilian lady and have intentions of moving to Brazil on a more permanent basis in the future. I am familiar with a lot of vocabulary, but sentence structure, grammar and conversation are out of my grasp at this point, so I would classify myself as a beginner. To start, I'd be willing to put in 3 to 5 hours a week in my studies, as I'm working a lot these days. As for teacher qualities, they must be patient and flexible.
