I have just arrived home from Teaching English as a Second language in Seoul, South Korea and would like to continue learning Korean while living here in Canada. I am planning on going back to Korea eventually and would like to be able to be more self sufficient and independent. My partner is Korean and has made the effort to learn English. I would like to do the same for him. My proficiency level is higher than beginner but i would like to take a test to find out exactly where I stand.

I would like to learn how to speak Polish. I have no prior experience, making me a beginner student. I would like to learn to speak Polish because I am part Polish and many members of my family speak it.
I am not particularly interested in learning the reading/writi ng aspects of the language as I am already taking 3 other languages in school. I would, however, really like to be fluent in the language as soon as possible. Because I am set on learning the language quickly I am willing to put in many hours especially over the coming summer months.

I have had a few very basic lessons in spoken Mandarin and written simplified Chinese.
I am hoping to work in HK in the latter part of 2010 as a physician (though my patient population will be largely bilingual in English and Cantonese).
I need to learn survival Cantonese and some basic Cantonese medical jargon. I also need to learn how to type in Chinese and navigate basic computer functions.
Time available: 1 - 3 weeknights/wk .
I am looking for a knowledgeable , experienced instructor who is flexible with regard to my needs, and who can suggest supplemental sources of language exposure for a beginner.
