I am learning Portuguese with the aim of travelling to and studying in Brazil in 2013. I have a basic-interme diate level of Portuguese, having travelled to Portugal and studied the Level 2 course at Institute of Modern Languages, UQ, Brisbane, Australia. I would be looking to have private lessons for 1-2 hours per week. I would hope the teacher has qualification s in language teaching and experience in teaching vocabulary, grammar in reading writing and listening skills. Looking forward to learning with you soon :)

I'm keen to learn Brazilian Portuguese since I might be traveling there for good in addition to communicating with numerous family members over there.
I'm still in my basics, I can barely match a sentence together, but I can understand some of the verbs and the words in a sentence. I still need a lot of improvement in conversations , grammar, etc.
I'm ready to dedicate about a month and a half. In a teacher, I'd love to see someone who'd be knowledgable about the accent and the words that Brazilian use, different from those in Portugal.

I'm interested in learning Spanish and Portuguese for personal reason, not for 'career advancement'. It's just a passion i have. I seem to have this affinity for Spanish. Listen to Spanish music and watch Spanish shows... I just want to know how they are saying without having to read the translations. Translations cannot convey the full emotion of the sentence. I would also love to visit Spanish and Portuguese countries like Mexico, Spain, Puerto Rico (if possible), Brazil and more... I barely know anything except for lyrics to spanish music so i guess i'm a beginner. I am hoping to learn as much as i can in February. I know it's rushy but I'm going into Army in March. from March onwards, i can only have lessons on Saturday. All i'm looking for in the teacher is a good teacher, friendly, patient and fun... I'll do my best to learn the language!
