I know absolutely nothing about the language of chichewa as of yet. I'm learning it because I am going to Malawi to help in a medical clinic and would love to know atleast some of the language before I go. I'll want to work mostly on conversationa l stuff. I would like to dedicate the amount of time necessary to learn the language somewhat proficiently in the amount of time I have (which is uncertain at this point). I don't have expectations of my teacher or lessons other than he/she will know what they are doing and can help me in the most efficient way possible.

I am a beginner, I have an understanding when reading because of its similiarity with french. I would like to learn portuguese because I am traveling to Brasil soon and I think it's a very beautiful language. I would like to take classes at least twice a week, maybe more.
