- What's your proficiency level?
My current proficiency level would be beginner. I know a few Korean phrases, but I won't be able to hold a conversation in Korean. I am also understand how Hangul works, but I have trouble memorizing each alphabets and vowels, and I read extremely slow because of that; not to mention that when I do read, I only understand less than half of what I read.
- Why you are learning korean?
I am very interested in Korean cultures, especially Korean pop culture. I also like Korean cuisines. I would like to be able to order food when I am at an authentic Korean restaurant, as well as understanding the songs that I listen to, as well as the TV shows that I watch without having to read the English subtitles.
- What are the areas in which you feel you need particular improvement (e.g., grammar, conversation, etc.)?
I am very much the beginning level, so I'll need help with more of everything. Having said that, I think that I would probably need more help with conversation and grammar, as well as expressions. As for reading, I think that the way Hangul works makes sense to me; it's just a matter of memorizing all the vowels and alphabets, and getting used to putting them together when I read it out.
- How much time do you want to dedicate to your language lessons?
I am very passionate about learning the language.
- What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher?
I am looking for a teacher who is patient, easy going, but most importantly, someone who is experienced in teaching non Korean speakers or beginners.

I wish to learn Spanish because I've always wanted to - its an interesting language and it being the third popular language spoken in the world says a lot. I'm fluent in English, mediocre in Chinese.
I wouldn't know what areas I would need particular improvement in as i don't know the language Spanish but I know I'm willing to dedicate as much time needed to properly handle myself in a conversation.
I have no preference man or woman as the teacher. Just as long he/she can teach. Out-going would be a bonus.

My husband and I are at beginner level with only basic knowledge of Mandarin and the tones. We are living in Hong Kong for 9 more months possibly more and want to invest in learning Mandarin. We are thinking a minimum of an hour a week possibly two hours a week. More focus on speaking and listening than reading and learning Characters. We are looking for someone to come into our home in the evenings. We have a 4 and 5 year old so we would need someone who would not be bothered by children being around although we will do our best to keep them apart from the teaching time.
