Why am I learning foreign languages?
I have an interest in learning languages for an unexplainable reason, other than I know I have a habit of gravitating towards them.
Prof iciency Level:
Beginner Mandarin(work ing knowledge of approximately 600-800 characters)- I am working towards taking the HSK
Basic Japanese
Basic-Int ermediate French (french immersion K-3 and french classes from 4-9)
Other Languages of interest:
Ja panese, German, Spanish, Russian, Afrikaans, and Korean
Are as I feel I need particular improvement on: grammar, writing, conversation, and confidence
How much time do I wish to dedicate to my language lessons: I would like classes to be either once a week for two hours or twice a week for one hour on evenings and weekends.
What qualities am I looking for in my language teacher?
Ide ally, I would love to have a teacher with great experience, patience, easy-going, and organized.
Price Range: $10-12/hr (I`m a poor student)

I am a Tourism and Travel student. I am bilingual, but I have never spoken Mandarin before. I am willing to dedicate a reasonable amount of time to my lessons (as long as it does not interfere with my day school schedule. Although I'm punjabi hindu, I have very basic understanding of hindi, I want to learn hindi to be able to communicate with other sout asians who can only speak hindi such as family and friends.
I 'm at a beginner level, I can understand when spoken but cannot speak fluently nor read nor write.
I need improvement in all areas including reading,writi ng, speaking.
I want to spend at least 2 hours a week on this.
I want a teach who is available to meet in person, ideally in the downtown area, who is knowledgeable , experienced, yet willing to customize lessons according to the student's needs.
