I am a beginner level, for I am just recently thinking about learning Japanese. I am learning Japanese because the language has interested me. I feel that I need improvement on all things, since I am new to this language. I will dedicate 1-2 hours. I am a beginner, I know very little conversationa l Japanese. I know a little bit of general etiquette as well as pronunciation . I need to learn the language because my plan is to go to Japan and further my study of martial arts and medicine. I will dedicate as much time as is available to me. I am very dedicated to this and am a fairly quick learner. I need to be able to speak the language fluently, and in a respectable way, as soon as possible.

I have studied Japanese for several years in India and Singapore, both from native speakers and non-native speakers of the language. For example, I have studied the language at JLPT4 and JLPT3 levels, and also at beginners and advanced conversation levels.
I am learning the language for career advancement and due to interest in Japanese culture. Areas in which I need particular improvement are grammer and conversation. I want to dedicate few hours per week to language lessons. Qualities I am looking for in my lessons are qualifying for language proficiency.

I am a beginner at Japanese. I am currently more interested in learning conversationa l skills, instead of reading/writi ng.
I am willing to dedicate 1-2 hours a night toward lessons. And longer on weekends.
I have had several language tutors (not for Japanese), and the biggest frustration is lack of organization. The most important quality in a teacher that I am looking for is someone who has a method, and isn't just making the lesson up the night before.
