I would like to learn Thai better because I am going there in February for a would like to be able to speak fluently or at an advanced level with my grandmother. My proficiency level is beginner to elementary but not having the opportunity to speak it often has made me dull, but I am able to pick up the language easily because of my exposure to it my whole life. I feel that I would need help in all aspects of the language in order to become as advanced as I would like. I would be willing to dedicate two lessons a week at least until February. The qualities I am looking for in a teacher are firmness and patience and the ability to explain things in detail.

Hi,
I grew up speaking Cantonese with my family in Mexico, but never had the chance to attend formal Chinese School (as there were none). Now as an adult, I am learning basic reading and writing. I am looking for classes so in the long run I can become more fluent in Cantonese and be able to understand the news on TV and radio, and be able to read a newspaper.

I would like to learn mandarin because it is a very usefull language which many people today are learning. I am a beginner in mandarin but have taken mandarin when I was a kid. I have taken mandarin in class for two years now in grade 9 and 10 this year, I dont think being taught in class is working so I am looking for another alterative way. Also being taught mandarin by my dad doesnt really help either since he cant speak english. I would dedicate 2-3 weeeks for an hour and a half- two hrs to be taught mandarin. I'm looking for a fun teacher that has fun teaching skills that will teach me how to read, write and speak mandarin. Also a teacher that is easy going and is willing to teach me and to supply me with books if they use them.
