I am a complete beginner in the language. I wish to learn Swahili, so that i will eventually speak fluently in the language. I wish to learn it to help me in my career. I am currently working for Amnesty International , and i want to focus on work in Africa in the future and i believe it will help me do so if i speak Swahili.
I wish to dedicate one or two nights a week to learning Swahili, and would preferably like to learn in a class but am also willing to learn with just me and a tutor.

Hello,
My name is Sue and I have a keen interest in learning the German language. I have in the past attended night classes and progressed to level intermediate II. I then travelled to Germany on holiday and was disappointed with my conversationa l skills. This I believe was due in part to the language classes I atended putting too much emphasis on grammar and theory and not enough on conversationa l training. I was also a little shy. What I would like to do is start over with a refresher, ideally one on one concentrating on conversation, and, of course grammar. My plan is to return to Germany in 2008, so I am willing to committ to lessons long term with the right tutor.

Good Afternoon,
I am looking to begin learning Mandarin and French. I have already studied Spanish, but it needs a bit of brushing up as well.
I am currently retired, but I need to keep my mind active and I would love to learn new languages.
I do travel intermittentl y, but I can study while doing so and I am contactable at all times by email. I can spare as much time as required.
Qualities that I look for in a teacher is a willingness to share their language, someone who is friendly and easy going but who can inspire me to push my boundaries.

beginner/inter mediate - I have lived in Laos for 2 1/2 years and speak conversationa l Lao. I would like to learn Thai to hopefully work in Bangkok in the future. I would like to spend 2 hours a week learning Thai. I would prefer to learn in person over lunch or after work in a relaxed public setting, mostly to develop spoken language skills at first, and then to be able to read. I am looking for a teacher who likes to laugh!
